I love fancy, fun stuff, sewing and knitting it for the body and home! I use surplus yarn and fabrics in my designs in order to reduce my environmental impact, as I am aware and concerned with fashion's footprint and the tremendous impact, clothing manufacturing has on the environment, apart from the fact that my stash of beautiful materials is immense!
If I can still make something beautiful out of “left overs,” saving some of these materials from going to the landfill, making them available to someone, somewhere, in a new form – a piece of clothing, a cushion, a throw or a bag, I feel I am doing something towards conscientiously using raw materials, instead of contributing to the excessive waste of the fashion world, where it seems normal to buy something “new,” when we just did, only to discard it shortly afterwards.
My vision is to blend fashion, functionality and conscience into products that you will treasure and wear for long time, that have style, quality and longevity and of course satisfy my creative longing to make, use and trade in the world of textiles. ARC DESIGNS
Apart from my own knitting and fabric design work, I have freelanced in Hollywood for several individuals and companies where we built costumes for the entertainment industry. I am grateful for all that I learnt and made for Jason Alper, Alterian Inc., Marco Marco, Ashton Michael, Cerre, Shokra LA, Perry Meek, JG Master Tailor, J&M Costumers, Le Chef Costumier, Commercial Costuming, Melissa Gould Mcneely, Kimberley Ovitz, Breelayne, Linda Loudermilk, Helen Yuan, Stitch Cafe, Share Ross, Myra Woods, Mia Gyzander, Matrushkas, Sogoli, Phil O'Shea, Amy Browson, Roger Dertinger, Dana Neillie, Stephen James, Olivia D'Abo, Ann Closs Farley, Dian Camarillo, Andrea Cansler, Elizabeth Di Prinzio, Direct TV. FREELANCE INDUSTRY PROJECTS
I also had the opportunities to provide wardrobe services on set, for commercials, videos and live shows for Inanna Bantu, Marjan Malakpour and Aisha Rae, Ade Samuel, Michelle Martini, Johhny Wujek, Lucy Warren, Anthony Unwin, Dave Thomas, William Graper in Los Angeles, RWS Entertainment from New York, IATSE Local 99 in Salt Lake. WARDROBE SERVICES
I am available to teach knitting workshops or seminars.
I am available to work with industry costumers for movies, television, commercials, music, dance and theater.
I am available to work on set offering wardrobe services for video or photo shoots.
I love to work with photographers that want to use my work – seeing my designs on different models and shot in different locations, expressing different personalities and moods is rewarding.
